Members of the First United Methodist Church of Port St. John will present the 2012 Walk Through Bethlehem from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 through Sunday Dec. 16.

In this three-part dramatic representation of the town of Bethlehem, members of the church congregation volunteer to be part of the town of Bethlehem and portray the historical characters that might have been present at that time.

Among the characters represented will be Mary, Joseph, a newborn baby, children from a synagogue school and their teacher, the innkeeper, a tanner, a potter, a rabbi and his assistant, the woman at the well and a carpenter.

Starting this year, congregation members will introduce the Three Wise Men, who will appear during the event, after following the star in search of the King of the Jews.

Several shepherds also will wander into the town, cold and lonely, but feeling the warmth of hospitality in their hearts.

The First United Methodist Church of Port St. John is at 1165 Fay Boulevard in Port St. John.
