DELAWARE, OHIO – Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Calvin Cagney of Indialantic has been honored with selection to the d3football.com All-America team.

Cagney, a tight end, was a third-team All-America pick as selections were announced Monday.

He shared the North Coast Athletic Conference lead in receptions with 6.6 a game) and ranked seventh in the NCAC in receiving yardage at 67.7 yards per game.

Cagney caught 66 passes for 677 yards this season for Ohio Wesleyan.

The Battling Bishops finished the season with a 9-1 record, tying the school record for victories in a season.

Ohio Wesleyan also shared the NCAC championship with a 6-1 record. It was the Bishops’ first conference title since 1989.

Cagney played prep football for the Melbourne High Bulldogs.
