BREVARD COUNTY • INDIALANTIC, FLORIDA – The 11th annual Cancer Care Foundation’s Caring Hearts Benefit is set for Saturday, April 20.

Jeanne and Ed André will once again host the event at their beautiful Indialantic estate.

One of the area’s signature philanthropic happenings, Jeanne and Ed André will once again host the event at their beautiful Indialantic estate. The André lost their oldest daughter, Rachael Anderson, eight years ago to ovarian cancer.

The Andrés, along with an incredible team of volunteers, will again support the uninsured and underinsured cancer patient in Brevard and Indian River Counties with rent, utilities, pain medication and transportation.

“Our hope is, not only to assist the under insured or uninsured cancer patient, alleviating them of their financial burdens in order to allow them to focus on healing, but to provide education, so that cancer may be caught early or avoided all together,” said Marta Fiol, director of the Cancer Care Foundation.

“Through our financial counseling, support groups, educational programs and participation in medical research projects, the Cancer Care Center Foundation’s sole focus is to help cancer patients and their families,” said Fiol.

“A diagnosis of cancer changes lives forever, and in many ways, for the patient as well as the caregiver. At Cancer Care Center Foundation, mind, body and spirit are cared for in order to let you focus on living again!”

In this spirit of meeting these patient’s basic needs, the Caring Hearts Benefit Committee is in full swing with their preparations for what has become one of the most talked about events of the year.

This benefit is also unique in itself as local artists and jewelers design and create an original masterpiece, which is part of a live auction. Wine connoisseurs will again open their hearts and wine cellars, which will also be a part of the auction.
