Senior quarterback David Dessent of Cocoa Beach is a prize target for a host of college scouts after leading the state with 38 touchdown passes this past season.

Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 250 pounds, Dessent possess strong judgement on the playing field and has demonstrated superior throing mechanics throughout his prep career to warrant all the attention.

According to Dessent, he has received more than 1,000 letters from college during the last three years and plans to make a decision about where he will play at the next level sometime soon.

We visited with Dessent at the Brevard County Prep Football All-Star Game at Astronaut High School in Titusville on Jan. 12 and asked him if he is leaning toward choosing a particular college yet.
