The Panthers men got off to a quick start, taking a win in the opening event, the 200-yard medley relay.

He would go on to add another win in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:00.66, five seconds faster than his competition.
The Panthers added other victories in the 50 yard freestyle, where Moodie led the field, and the 200 yard backstroke, where Sam Trible, Dumont and Nakachi combined to finish first, second and third, respectively.
The women’s team picked up its lone individual victory in the 200 yard backstroke, when freshman Laura Holty touched the wall first in a time of 2:19.53. The team grabbed a win in the final event of the meet, the 200 yard freestyle relay. A combination of Liana Soileau, Madison Hart, Shelby Pearce and Kristen Jones earned the win.
The Panthers will now look toward nearly a month of training for the Sunshine State Conference Championship. The conference meet is set to begin Feb. 13 in Clearwater.
The meet will mark the final chance for members of FIT to qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championship in Birmingham, Ala.
