Palm Bay Detectives Arrest Shooting Suspect

Victim Treated For Gunshot Wounds

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA –Detectives with Palm Bay Police Department’s Major Case Unit are investigating a shooting that resulted in one victim being sent to the hospital on Friday.

Palm Bay Public Information officer Yvonne Martinez said officers were called about a shooting just after 1 p.m. in the area of Hillock Road and Malabar Road.

Martinez said a 19-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds and is undergoing treatment.

A suspect is in custody following a brief search that lead to his arrest in the area of Hurley Road.

Martinez said the investigation is ongoing and no further information can be released at this time.
