Erna Nixon Park Hosts Art & Animals Event

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – It’s that time of year again.
Brevard County Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Erna Nixon Park will host the 3rd annual Art and Animals in the Park event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Erna Nixon Park, 1200 Evans Road, in West Melbourne.
Parking will be available at the Melbourne Square Mall parking lot at Pole #4, on the west side of JC Penney.
A free shuttle bus will be available to transport visitors to and from the park. Admission is $1 and all proceeds benefit the Friends of Erna Nixon Park.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Art in the Park will provide an opportunity to stroll through one of Brevard County’s hidden gems and view locally made art focused on the beauty of nature.
Participating artists and photographers will be in attendance to display, sell, and talk to the public about their nature-themed art.
A silent auction will feature pieces donated by artists and photographers.
Food will be available for purchase and there will also be animal groups on hand giving presentations throughout the event.
