FOREVER FLORIDA – More than 3,000 participants had the foamiest running experience of their lives during the 2013 Foam Fest 5K at Forever Florida in Central Florida on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Whether you’re a seasoned mud runner or fresh to the obstacle racing scene, the 5k Foam Fest offers a unique and fun approach to obstacle racing never seen before in the running world! (SpaceCoastDaily.com image)

“At the 5k Foam Fest at Forever Florida, it was mud and awesome obstacles that made this racing experience like none other – and the fact that it’s the first obstacle mud race ever to include foam,” said event organizers.

“Dirty running is the new craze in the racing circuit today. Everybody loves getting down and dirty in mud up to their eyebrows! And what’s a little running without some fun-filled obstacles?”

Yes, glorious, sudsy, bubbly foam! So right after you get down and dirty in the mud pits—and yes there will be plenty of those—you can get yourselves all washed up in the fun and foamy obstacles!

The 5k Foam Fest In A Nutshell:

Take all the mud, the dirt, and the grime of a mud race, all the obstacles you’ve seen on TV shows like “Wipeout” and “Ninja Warrior,” and then throw that entire muddy obstacles mess inside the largest and foamiest carwash ever built, and you’d have the foundation for the 5k Foam Fest.

The race featured seasoned mud runners as well as participants new to the obstacle racing scene.

Next up, Forever Florida, the USA’s most unique eco-themed environment, will host the 2013 Prison Break Mud Run on Saturday, March 2.
