The concert will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday at the Emma Parrish Theatre, 301 Julia Street in Titusville.

The group’s latest offering, “Life Finds a Way,” was nominated for a 2013 Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album.

In addition to their Jan. 25 appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno and a Washington, D.C. performance during the presidential inaugural, the Grascals have logged more than 100 appearances onstage at the Grand Ole Opry.

The group is known for a cutting-edge bluegrass sound which has earned them “Instrumental Group of the Year” the last three consecutive years by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America.

A favorite of Dolly Parton, the Grammy-nominated group have had several singles go to number one on the bluegrass charts.

Central Florida bluegrass promoter J.T. Shealy knows the seats in the Emma Parrish Theatre will sell out quickly.

“The Grascals popularity is exploding off the charts,” said Shealy.  “In the last 90 days, they’ve been nominated for a Grammy, performed at the presidential inaugural and been on the Jay Leno Show. They don’t come any bigger than this group.”

J.T’s Bluegrass has been bringing bluegrass performers to Brevard since 2007.  A bluegrass musician himself, Shealy knows what true aficionados want to hear.
