The no-nonsense ad featured a series of classic images of farmers toiling at their trade.

The ad was created by The Richards Group and used compelling images of farmers and other agricultural scenes with the legendary Paul Harvey doing a voiceover of his poem, “So God Made A Farmer,” which he delivered in 1978 at the National Future Farmers of America Convention.

Havey’s daily radio program and columns, Paul Harvey News, was enjoyed daily by more than 25 millon listeners and carried on 1,200 radio stations, 400 Armed Forces Network stations and 300 newspapers. His broadcasts and newspaper columns have been reprinted in the Congressional Record more than those of any other commentator.
