Firefighters Mopping Up Melbourne Brush Fire

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Firefighters are mopping up a small brush fire about two acres in size south of Sarno Road in Melbourne, west of Wickham Road.
The fire was located behind the Interstate Batteries store on Sarno Road, just east of the landfill. No structures are in danger and no roadblocks are in effect. The fire has been contained, should be all clear in the next hour or so.
According to traffic on the emergency scanner, three juveniles were spotted running from the woods about the same time the fire started. The juveniles have been detained by the Melbourne PD and there is no word on charges as the investigation is ongoing.
