FIT Moves Up To 16 In Baseball Poll

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Another successful week has again propelled Florida Tech higher among the top baseball teams in the country.

After a 3-1 performance during the week, the Panthers have been ranked No. 16 according to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll.

The Crimson and Gray had been ranked as high as No. 19, but entered the week at No. 22. A mid-week win over Florida Memorial and a 2-1 weekend pushed FIT up six slots.

The Panthers also remained in three other national polls, including another No. 16 spot in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Florida Tech also landed at No. 20 in the D2BaseballNews.com Poll and No. 22 according to College Baseball Lineup.

Florida Tech plays plays a pair of games at Andy Seminick-Les Hall Field over the weekend against Georgia Southwestern, one on Friday at 6 p.m. with the conclusion Saturday at 1 p.m.
