Palm Beach State Edges Titans In Baseball

BCC Hosts Miami-Dade On Friday
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –Brevard Community College’s baseball team came up short on Wednesday, losing 2-1 at Palm Beach State College.

The loss dropped BCC’s Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference record to 6-8 while Palm Beach State improved to 7-7. BCC is 18-16-1 overall and Palm Beach 25-13.
BCC is now in fourth place in the conference trailing first-place Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
The top four teams in the five-team conference are eligible for postseason play.
The Titans were outhit 8-3 on Wednesday. Chris Dennis went 1-for-4, T.J. Glessner 1-for-4 and Matt Harris 1-for-4 with a double.
David King had BCC’s lone run batted in, the run coming in the ninth inning after Palm Beach took a 2-0 lead with single runs in the third and eighth innings.
Aaron Miller pitched a complete game for BCC in taking the loss.
“They did not beat us,” BCC head coach Jeff Tam said. “We beat ourselves. We made some mental mistakes that can’t and should not happen.”
Next up for BCC is a crucial two-game set with Miami Dade at 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus.
