Prep Lacrosse Season For Girls Continues In Brevard

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The girls’ prep lacrosse season continues in Brevard County and teams throughout the Space Coast are proving that the sport continues to surge in popularity on the Space Coast.

Satellite High School will host the girls’ lacrosse District 17 tournament this year starting April 16.

The girls’ prep lacrosse District 17 championship game will be played at Satellite High on April 18.

Girls’ lacrosse teams have 12 players and on of them is a goalkeeper.

Games are 60 minutes in length, consisting of two halves of 30 minutes.

Teams play with three attackers, five midfielders,  three defenders and a goalie.

Rules are similar to ice hockey with penalties whistled for infractions and offsides calls.
