BCC Takes On Santa Fe At 9 p.m. Tonight
MARIANNA, FLORIDA – The Brevard Community College men’s basketball team worked its way through a two-hour practice on Wednesday in preparation for Thursday night’s quarterfinal game against Santa Fe State College in the Florida College System Activities Association/NJCAA Region 8 tournament in Marianna.

Practicing in a small throwback gym – the blue plastic bleachers were comprised only of five rows – at Cottondale High School in Cottondale, the Titans opened with several drills and then held a brief dunking session that thrilled students in the stands.
Once the students departed head coach Jeremy Shulman led his players through both defensive and offensive sets in preparation for Santa Fe and the nation’s leading scorer Bobby Hunter who is averaging 25 points per game.
BCC comes into Thursday’s 9 p.m. EST game at Chipola College at 24-6 and as the FCSAA Southern Conference champion. Santa Fe is 20-11 and the Mid-Florida Conference runner-up.
The game will be webcast live on www.psblive.com.
This is BCC’s second appearance in the state tournament in Shulman’s three-year tenure. The Titans were eliminated in the first round in 2011.
Expectations are higher this season and Shulman stressed that to his team on Wednesday.
“I want this to be fun but at the same time you need to execute,” Shulman told his players. “You need to be alive now.”
