Update: Palm Bay Shooting Critically Wounds Victim

Victim Shot About 2 A.M. Monday
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – An overnight shooting in Palm Bay has left a man fighting for his life in critical condition and police looking for suspects.
Palm Bay Police Department Public Information Officer Yvonne Martinez said Palm Bay detectives with the Major Case Unit are investigating a shooting incident was reported just before 2 a.m. Monday.
The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Lockheed Street in the city’s southeast section.
Martinez said Demarco Newman of Palm Bay, 39, remains in critical condition at a local hospital after being shot multiple times inside his home.
She said the shooting does not appear to be a random act.
Detectives are continuing to follow leads for potential suspects.
