Brevard County’s North Animal Care Center in Titusville and the South Animal Care Center in Melbourne are in urgent need of young and adult pet food donations.

The need increases as summer months approach and the county’s efforts toward “no kill” shelter status means animals are being sheltered longer while awaiting adoption.

Brevard’s Animal Services and Enforcement relies on donations of pet food to help feed the animals in their care and dry dye-free dog food are needed for young and adult pets. The shelters could also use help in feeding the animals.

Food donations can be dropped off at either of the shelters during business hours from noon to 6 p.m. daily.

Then shelters are closed Wednesdays.

The South Animal Care Center is at 5100 W. Eau Gallie Blvd. in Melbourne.

The North Animal Care Center is at 2605 Flake Road in Titusville.

For more information, call South Animal Care Center at 321-253-6608 or the North Animal Care Center at 321-264-5119.
