April 21 to 27 is National Volunteer Week and schools throughout Brevard County are celebrating volunteers with various appreciation luncheons, breakfasts and other events.

Volunteers provide an invaluable service to our schools, our teachers and our students.

“With more than 25,000 volunteers contributing over 800,000 hours each year, Brevard is fortunate to have one of the strongest volunteer programs found in Florida’s public schools,” said Ginger Blair, district volunteer coordinator.

For more information about becoming a Brevard Schools volunteer and its volunteer program, call Blair at 321-633-1000 ext. 644 or send an email to blair.ginger@brevardschools.org.
