The Great Floridian designation is bestowed upon those, “who have made significant contributions to the progress and welfare of Florida.”

The former Florida Gator, National Champion and Heisman Trophy winner had this to say about entering politics during an interview with ESPN last fall: “I haven’t ruled it out – whatever avenue I feel like I can make a difference in, I’d love to do. 1. The most important number to know is that Tebow is viewed favorably by 100% of Gator Fans….That number itself will help Tebow into a political office, if he chooses to run. I am not a Gator fan or deeply devoted in religion like Tebow is, but I would vote for him because of his leadership skills. Tebow wants to be a role model….he does not seem to have the Barkley approach to role modeling. If Tebow chooses to run for office I hope he goes in head first….
