UPDATE: Gyrocopter Crash Kills Scott Adair In Valkaria

UPDATE 1:25 P.M.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –The pilot of a two-seater Gyrocopter involved in a fatal crash this morning at Valkaria Airport has been identified as Scott Adair.

The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. and apparently just minutes after Adair was seen flying in the aircraft over the airfield. Witnesses said the Gyrocopter being flown by Adair went down, striking an unmanned plane that was parked on the north side of the airport property.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the cause of the crash.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – An ultralight aircraft called a gyrocopter crashed into a parked airplane at Valkaria airport shortly berfore 8 a.m. this morning killing the pilot.  

The pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft and was registered as an experimental aircraft.
