The 7 p.m. show by the husband and wife team will be performed at the North Brevard Shrine Club at 545 N. Washington Avenue in Titusville.

Past winners of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s prestigious Emerging Artist of the Year award, the Kenny and Amanda Smith Band are known for their smooth vocals.

Originally from Nine Mile, Ind., Kenny is a two-time winner of the IBMA’s “Guitarist of the Year” award and is widely considered one of the most influential flatpicking-style guitarists of his generation.

Born in the small town of Davisville, W. Va., Amanda grew up singing in church choirs and participating in talent contests at local fairs.

“I always sang, my mom and dad said, even before I can remember,” she said.

She started playing guitar in high school to accompany herself, and soon discovered bluegrass music through female artists such as Rhonda Vincent and Alison Krauss.

Their latest CD, “Catch me if I try,” is at #5 on the list of best-selling albums by Bluegrass Unlimited magazine.

The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band is one of the final groups of the 2012-2013 season to be brought to Titusville by Central Florida bluegrass promoter J.T. Shealy.

“Kenny has won ‘Guitarist of the Year’ twice and is easily one of the most gifted guitar players in bluegrass today,” said Shealy. “Their harmony is silky smooth and Amanda’s got the voice of an angel.”

J.T’s Bluegrass has been bringing bluegrass performers to Brevard since 2007.

Eight of the top 15 acts of 2012 named by Bluegrass Unlimited magazine have performed in Titusville for Shealy’s audiences
