BREVARD COUNTY• MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA—  More than 200 Merritt Island High School students gathered to celebrate Prom Night at the Holiday Inn Space Coast Convention Center in Cocoa on Saturday evening.

The theme of the celebration was “Fly Me To The Moon” and the MIHS Student Prom Committee, along with the Senior Sponsor Michelle Hoolsema, organized the stylish party.

In a tradition of excellence known as “Island Style” Merritt Island High School’s mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals are empowered to think independently, communicate effectively and contribute to a global society.
