Missing Cocoa Beach Girl Found Alive Overnight

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Police have safely recovered a Cocoa Beach girl who was reported missing on Monday.

Major Jay Harmon of the Cocoa Beach Police Department said a member of a search team spotted Jordan Taylor Fagan, 14, walking westbound on State Road 528 just west of Port Canaveral late Monday night.

Harmon said she was recovered alone without incident and with no signs of injury.

Fagan was interviewed by investigators before being reunited her family.

It was determined by police that she  ran away.

She was reported missing by her mother at 7:30 a.m Monday when she went to wake the child for school.

A screen on the child’s bedroom window at 105 W. Park Drive in Cocoa Beach was found to be cut.

The mother told police she last saw her daughter about 10 p.m. Sunday evening.

Investigators with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Department of Law Enforcement assisted in the investigation.
