BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Health First Palm Bay Hospital is proud to announce it has received prestigious accreditations from the American College of Radiology (ACR) in CT Modalities and four areas of Ultrasound Service.

Continuing a tradition of offering patients the latest high-tech services available, Palm Bay Hospital has earned three-year ACR Accreditation in ultrasound services in the areas of general, gynecological, first and second trimesters for obstetrical and vascular (including abdominal vascular, cerebrovascular and peripheral vascular). Continuing a tradition of offering patients the latest high-tech services available, Palm Bay Hospital has earned three-year ACR Accreditation in ultrasound services in the areas of general, gynecological, first and second trimesters for obstetrical and vascular (including abdominal vascular, cerebrovascular and peripheral vascular). Health First Palm Bay Hospital also received accreditation for the GE 8 Slice Lightspeed CT Scanner and the Philips 64 Slice Brilliance CT Scanner.

Palm Bay Hospital offers a full spectrum of healthcare services, including Cardiopulmonary, Surgery, Rehabilitation, Intensive Care, Emergency, and Endoscopy Services. Additionally, PBH serves the community with a 22-bed Emergency Department treating 38,000+ emergency cases a year. Brevard’s first Hospice patient facility, the William Childs Hospice House, is located in a secluded wooded area on our campus.

RIGOROUS REVIEW PROCESS

The ACR awards accreditation for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of a facility’s practices. Image quality and procedure evaluations are conducted by Board-certified Radiologists and medical physicists who are experts in the field. The program also evaluates personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs.
