‘Touch-A’Truck’ Rolls Into Brevard On Saturday

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – It’s safe to say kids spend hours on end playing with toy trucks. This weekend they’ll have an opportunity to explore real big rigs up close.

Brevard County Parks and Recreation is hosting “Touch-A-Truck,” a community event that provides families the opportunity to learn about and explore trucks, public safety equipment and construction vehicles.

It will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Kiwanis Island Park at 951 Kiwanis Island Park Road on Merritt Island.

“Touch-A-Truck” is a free event and includes a “Pit Stop” area for children with crafts, games, face-painting and bounce houses.

The event also will feature vendors and food trucks, including Sweets Revenge Bakery, APPs Wings and Burgers, Mr. J’s Ice Cream and More; Slow N Low, Tippy’s Hot Dogs, Back En BBQ, Sunset Ice and Big City Sandwich.

Food prices will range from $2 to $12 per plate.
