BCSO Agents Arrest Suspect In Theft of Steel

ALLEGEDLY STOLE 3,000 POUNDS OF STEEL

BREVARD COUNTY  TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 35-year-old David Weible of 4480 Byron Ave., Titusville, for Grand Theft, dealing in stolen property and false verification of ownership.

According to Brevard County Sheriff’s office, the victim reported someone had stolen approximately 3,000 pounds of metal roofing along with three large ridge vents from property located in the 3600 block of North US Highway 1 in Mims.

The investigation led deputies to Mims East Coast Auto Salvage and Recycle, where Weible was identified as selling over 3,000 pounds of steel to the recycle facility on May 13, 2013.

Agents were able to recover the steel as part of the investigation, and agents located and arrested Weible without incident.

Weible is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex on a $ 6,000 bond.
