BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Max Fischer of Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School officially committed to Florida Institute of Technology with a five-year Presidential Scholarship and Elite Walk-on Basketball Invitation.

“Max has exceptional leadership skills, optimism and broad range of talents,” said Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School Principal Dr.Ken Winn.

Fischer was first in scoring and fourth in rebounds last season in Brevard County while playing for the Indians.

His impressive 2012-2013 season stats include:

• 20 games total – started all games
• 424 points – 21.2 PPG – 54% – First in Brevard
• 74 percent Free throw – 100 total
• 42 percent 3-point – 40 total
• 9.2 rebounds per game – 185 total
• 3.1 assists per game – 49 total
• 11 Double-Doubles
• 1,202+ Career Points
• Made ¾ court quarter ending shot

In addition to sporting a 3.94 unweighted GPA, Max Fischer of Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School was one of the best basketball players on the Space Coast last season. Above is a highlight of Fisher’s season.
