BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Air Force veteran and Virginia Tech graduate Richard “Rick” Matthews of Northrop Grumman will be the keynote speaker at the Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida Business Breakfast of Champions on Thursday, June 6.
The event, sponsored by Brighthouse Networks, will be held at 9 a.m. at the Radisson Suite Hotel Oceanfront, located at 3101 A1A, beachside in Melbourne.
Northrop Grumman, a leading global security company providing innovative systems, products and solutions is building a new Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence at its Melbourne facility.
Rick Matthews is Vice President, Melbourne Operations and Director of the Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence. In addition to serving as site manager, Matthews is the Aerospace Sector Lead Executive for Northrop Grumman’s Florida business relations.
In this role, Matthews represents Northrop Grumman in state, regional and local government affairs as well as in business and civic community relations across Florida. Matthews joined Northrop Grumman in June 2007 following a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force.
He led major weapon system programs including the B-2 Stealth Bomber and has an extensive background in leading large wholesale and retail logistics organizations.
ZACK MARKS TO BE INTRODUCED
Also during the event, 12 year-old Melbourne Beach resident Zack Marks will be introduced. Marks created GROM SOCIAL, one of the newest social networking site geared towards the youth.
Cost to attend this event is $18 for members pre-paid online; $25 after registration deadline; and at the door, $35 for non-members.
