ABOVE VIDEO: On June 12th, 1987 President Ronald W. Reagan, spoke to an audience at the Berlin Wall. During the speech, Reagan said “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

EDITOR’S NOTE: President Reagan’s speech at the Berlin Wall marked a pivotal moment in international relations between U.S. and Russia. Two years after Reagan’s speech, a series of political changes led to a seismic power shift. Eventually, the Berlin wall was removed in 1990.
