UPDATE: Roland Merritt Killed In Motorcycle Accident

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Roland Merritt, 65, of Palm Bay was killed this morning when his motorcycle was hit on Wickham Road and Windsor Estates Drive at about 7:40 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Konah Denny, 57, of Orlando, was traveling southbound on Wickham Road in a 2005 Toyota as the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Wickham Road. Denny attempted to make a left turn onto Windsor Estates Drive, and turned into the direct path of the motorcyclist, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The front of Denny’s car struck the motorcyclist, who died on scene. The identity of the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

This crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
