BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE – In honor of our returning teachers before the new school year begins, Brevard Zoo is offering all Florida teachers free admission, with teacher identification, from July 29 through August 2.

This summer, youth from Patrick Air Force Base have been having fun learning about Brevard Zoo during their Summer Reading Program themed "Have Book Will Travel." Kids learn each week about a different habitat, the Zoo brings animals for some encounters and the fun culminates with the Top 30 readers spending an amazing day the Zoo. This is available to public and private school teachers and applies only to the teacher.

Also for this special week, teachers can receive a 10 percent discount at the Flamingo Café, the Paws On Pizzeria and the Panther’s Paw Gift Shop. To receive the discount, teachers must show teacher identification.

Teachers also can receive a $10 discount off of any of the Zoo annual memberships (offer not valid online; membership must be purchased at the Zoo).

This membership offer for teachers is available throughout the year, but can only be purchased at the Zoo (not online).

Take a trip to the wild side and see the new Zoo babies, visit the Wildlife Detective Training Academy or enjoy the Paws On play lagoon. Guests also may consider kayaking along the Nyami Nyami River, paddle boating in the wetlands, riding the Cape to Cairo Express (train ride) and feeding the giraffe and lorikeets (these experiences are available at an additional cost). The possibilities are endless.
