Florida Women’s Hall of Fame Seeking Nominations

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA — Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office published a press release to remind Floridians about the  Florida Commission on the Status of Women accepting nominations for the 2013-2014 Florida Women’s Hall of Fame. According to the release, the commission is accepting nominations through Monday, July 15. The commission reviews nominations and recommends 10 nominees to Governor Rick Scott. The Governor will select up to three nominees to be inducted in March 2014.

An excerpt from the release reads:

Since its inception in 1982, the Women’s Hall of Fame has recognized and honored Florida women who have made significant contributions to the improvement of life for all Floridians…Since its inception in 1982, the Women’s Hall of Fame has recognized and honored Florida women who have made significant contributions to the improvement of life for all Floridians. Last year’s inductees were Clara C. Frye formerly of Tampa, Aleene Pridgen Kidd MacKenzie of Miami, and Lillie Pierce Voss formerly of Delray Beach.”
