Leftinger, Templet Earn All-American Honors

Duo finished season with a 3.5 GPA

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Felicia Leftinger and Jara’ Templet have been announced as Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars by the collegiate women’s golf governing body.

Templet was chosen the Florida Tech Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women’s golf, boasting a 4.0 GPA for the spring semester and a 3.5 cumulative GPA (Florida Tech Image)

Leftinger and Templet were two of 644 collegiate women golfers and 145 Division II student-athletes to receive the honor.

To be selected, players must maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and an adjusted scoring average of 95.0 or less.

A business administration major, she was also named to the FIT Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the SSC Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll this year. She finished her first season with a 3.64 GPA

FIT SCHOLAR-ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Templet was chosen the Florida Tech Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women’s golf, boasting a 4.0 GPA for the spring semester and a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

The rising junior biomedical engineering major from Baton Rouge, La., also made the FIT Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the SSC Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll for the second straight season.

On the course, Templet averaged an 80 and recorded two top-20 finishes, including ninth place at the Lady Falcon Invitational.
