BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Representatives from the Canaveral Port Authority and Keep Brevard Beautiful, above, sorting recycled items donated by a number of local agencies and schools, including Cape View, Manatee, Surfside and Cambridge elementary schools, Recycle Brevard, the City of Cocoa Beach, Keep Brevard Beautiful and the Canaveral Port Authority.

Artist Sayaka Ganz will turn the recycled plastic into a sculpture for Port Canaveral’s new Welcome Center scheduled to open later this year.

Keep Brevard Beautiful, Inc. (KBB), officially certified in 1981, marks the dedication demonstrated by the volunteers of the Beautification Committee of the Melbourne-Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, who formed a coalition of business representatives, government and civic organizations to create a charter to become an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc.
