Three Vehicle Wreck At SR 520, Tropical Trail

NO LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – A three-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of SR 520 and Tropical Trail today at about 12:30 p.m.

One passenger had to be extricated from Camry, back ground, and according to the Florida Highway Patrol, three of the Camry passengers were sent to hospital with non life threatening injuries. (SpaceCoastDaily.com image)

According to the Florida Highway Patrol trooper on-scene, the driver of a Dodge Durango was traveling westbound on SR 520 when the driver of a Toyota Camry, traveling eastbound on SR 520 was turning north on Tropical Trail.

As the Camry turned across the westbound SR 520 lanes,  the inside and middle lanes were stopped due to congestion at light. The driver of the Durango did not notice the Camry in time, and after hitting the Camry, hit the Durango struck a minivan traveling south on Tropical Trail.

One passenger had to be extricated from the Camry and according to the Florida Highway Patrol, three of the Camry passengers were sent to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Traffic lanes are now open and flowing.
