Brevard Zoo To Host ‘Cold-Blooded Weekend’ Over Labor Day

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE – Brevard Zoo will host “Cold-Blooded Weekend,” its annual Labor Day weekend event, Aug. 31 through Sept. 2. 

With the theme of “Creatures Big and Small,” Cold-Blooded Weekend offers guests the opportunity to learn about a variety of animals throughout the Zoo and on exhibit in the Nyami Nyami River Lodge. (Brevard Zoo image)

Celebrating the world of cold-blooded animals, and with the theme of “Creatures Big and Small,” Cold-Blooded Weekend offers guests the opportunity to learn about a variety of animals throughout the Zoo on exhibit in the Nyami Nyami River Lodge.

FREE WITH ZOO ADMISSION

There will be education talks throughout the weekend in the lodge, special exhibits, animal encounters, kid’s activities and bug tastings. Activities run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The event is free with Zoo admission.

10 a.m.                 Sting Ray Feeding

11 a.m.                 Animal Encounters

12 p.m.                 Bug Tasting in the Lodge

1 p.m.                   Tortoise Races

1:30 p.m.             Rob & Jonny Show

2:30 p.m.             Education animals in front of Paw’s On

3 p.m.                   Gator feeding; meet a baby gator in Wild Florida
