ABOVE VIDEO: Becca Bower, OH, DS, anchors the Merritt Island Mustang volleyball team this year. The 5′-6 senior team captain will lead last year’s 5A runner-up, which once again looks like the team to beat in Brevard County. In the last eight years, Head Coach Angie Patrick’s Mustangs are 59-0 in district matches and 96-2 in Cape Coast Conference matches. Other key players for the ‘Stangs for 2013 include Rachel Petkosh (Jr., L), Skyler Lierse (Jr., OH), Alyssa Zwolensky (Fr., OH), Haley Boucher (Sr., MB), Anna Garrett (Soph., S), Marina Morales (Jr., S/RS).
