UPDATE: Man Missing In Palm Bay Found Dead

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Alfred “Fred” Mercier has been found dead outside of their jurisdiction, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.

BREVARD COUNTY  •  PALM BAY, FLORIDA —  Palm Bay Police Department’s Officers and Investigators are searching for a missing elderly man named Alfred  Mercier, better known as “Fred” Mercier.

mr-mercier-180Mercier was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, blue shorts and tennis shoes. Sunday, August 11 around 7 p.m.

According to Palm Bay Public information coordinator, Mercier left his home on the 800 block of Briar Creek Blvd in Palm Bay. According to Mercier’s wife, Alfred left their apartment to go across the parking lot to go to the office and work on puzzles, but wasn’t in the office when she arrived a couple hours later.

Fire Department and Police conducted an extensive  search overnight and are continuing to search the area this morning.   K-9 units and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office helicopter are also assisting.
