Man Arrested After Pushing Woman Out of Car in Cocoa

POLICE ASKING FEMALE VICTIM TO COME FORWARD

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — Cocoa Police apprehended a suspect who allegedly pushed a woman out of his car, struck her, then fought police officers at the scene.
Dontay Olaguwon Hudson was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding; resisting with violence; resisting without violence, leaving the scene of an accident and driving while license suspended.
Hudson is on probation in reference to prior gun and cocaine charges. Hudson is also currently out on bond on a battery charge.

According to Matthews, the woman was struck by the vehicle but the driver continued to run from police. The driver lost control of the vehicle a few blocks away and as officers approached he jumped out of the vehicle and began fighting officers. He was quickly subdued and taken into custody. Police located a .45 caliber handgun in the vehicle.
According to Matthews, officers attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic infraction and initially it appeared that the driver was going to stop, however, the driver then sped up and tried to run from officers.
As officers pulled up behind the vehicle they saw the driver struggling with a woman in the front seat who appeared to be attempting to flee the car. Police observed the driver shove the woman out of the front street of the vehicle as he continued driving.
According to Matthews, the woman was struck by the vehicle but the driver continued to run from police.
The driver lost control of the vehicle a few blocks away and as officers approached he jumped out of the vehicle and began fighting officers. He was quickly subdued and taken into custody. Police located a .45 caliber handgun in the vehicle.
Police were not able to locate the female thrown from the vehicle as she quickly fled the scene. Police believe the victim will need medical attention for her injuries and are hoping she comes forward.
