FLORIDA CRIME AT LOWEST LEVEL SINCE 1971
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Crime in Brevard County is down 8.8 percent annually, and Florida’s crime rate at the lowest level since 1971, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s annual crime report.
“Because of the hard work of Florida’s law enforcement community we can celebrate the great news about Florida’s crime rate,” said Florida Gov. Rick Scott.
“Having a low crime rate is important to my goal of creating jobs and opportunities for Florida families, and making our state the best state in the nation to live, work or raise a family.”
FDLE’s Uniform Crime Report (UCR) system allows the UCR program to provide standardized reports on crime statistics based on data gathered from across the state.
