Gulf Red Snapper Closes Recreationally Oct. 22

Daily bag limit set at 2 per harvester

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The recreational harvest of red snapper will close Oct. 22 in state waters of the Gulf of Mexico, with the final day of harvest being Oct. 21.

The season will close Oct. 15 in Gulf federal waters.

State waters are from shore to 9 nautical miles in the Gulf and federal waters are from 9 nautical miles out to 200 nautical miles.

These supplemental recreational red snapper seasons in the Gulf of Mexico are for 2013 only.
