BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police officers apprehended and arrested Alex David McBride, 28, this morning at approximately 1:30 a.m. for burglary at CVS Pharmacy at 3050 N. Wickham Road. (Map above)

According to the Melbourne Police, officers were patrolling the area of Parkway Drive and Wickham Road when they heard an audible alarm coming from the CVS Pharmacy.

The officers immediately relayed this information to other units and approached the business exterior where they found an open access hatch in the drive-thru ceiling.

While securing the perimeter and waiting for the K-9 officer, McBride fell through the drive-thru hatch and down to the officers waiting below.

From the exterior, officers could see that the pharmacy ceiling tiles had been moved and that a break-in to the pharmacy had occurred. While securing the perimeter and waiting for the K-9 officer, McBride fell through the drive-thru hatch and down to the officers waiting below.

According to the Melbourne Police, McBride, of 1750 Bridgewater Drive  in Melbourne, was arrested without incident while wearing gloves and a ski mask, carrying a bag of burglary tools and prescription pills.
