VEGA LEADS PANTHERS TO FIRST CONFERENCE WIN
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech freshman women’s soccer player Karlyn Prisco and senior football player Bobby Vega were awarded this week’s Panther Student-Athletes of the Week honor for the period of Oct. 14-20.
Prisco, a goalkeeper from Rockledge, Fla., did not surrender a goal in two matches last week, totaling 146 minutes and 43 seconds of playing time.
She subbed in for Julia Kantor in the second half of FIT’s match against then No. 14 Armstrong Atlantic last Tuesday, making two saves en route to a 2-0 win.
FIRST CAREER SHUTOUT
The pre-med biology major then posted her first career shutout in a 0-0 tie at Sunshine State Conference leading Barry last Saturday. She turned away four shots to help the Panthers earn a crucial point in the conference standings.

He threw for nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Two of his touchdown passes came when the Panthers scored three straight times in just over nine minutes of the fourth quarter.
Heading into the quarter, they trailed 24-7.
