Frances Harlow of Palm Bay Dies After Crash In Melbourne

ACCIDENT AT Nasa Boulevard and Evans Road

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –  Frances Harlow, 84, of Palm Bay died today at 5:01 p.m. from injuries she suffered in a crash today at the intersection of Nasa Boulevard and Evans Road, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

A local Mims meat market and grocery store sustained damage today as a result of a fire in the rear of the store. Brevard County Fire Rescue (BCFR) received notification shortly after 3:50 p.m. that the grocery store on Main Street (S.R. 46) and Taylor Ave was on fire.

Officers responded to the accident today at 1:41 pm. that involved Harlow’s 2013 Chevrolet four door, and a 2010 Ford pick up truck with a lone male driver. The Chevrolet overturned and Harlow had to be extracted from the vehicle by Fire Rescue personnel.

Harlow was transported to Holmes Regional in critical condition, where she died, according to the Melbourne Police Department. The driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries. 

Traffic was diverted for about two hours while the accident was investigated. The exact cause of the accident is currently unknown and continues to be investigated.
