Coquina Sculpture Garden At Government Center Gets Facelift

BCA's Lynne Brezina leads effort
BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLRIDA – The coquina sculpture garden, located on the west side of Building C At the Brevard County Government Center, was recently refurbished under the leadership of Brevard Cultural Alliance staffer Lynne Brezina, and with the assistance of the Brevard County Facilities Department.
The sculptures were created by the late Allan “Rock Man” Welsh.
After years of exposure to weather, the sculpture garden had fallen into disrepair and the plants were overgrown. Sculptures were cleaned, re-installed, and overgrown plants were cut back.
The exhibit is on loan from the Welsh family estate through the Brevard County Art in Public Places program.
