Sheriff Ivey Thanks Deputies for Toy Run Leadership
By Sheriff Wayne Ivey // December 1, 2013

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Sheriff Wayne Ivey thanked the motor unit for their assistance with the 2013 ABATE Toy Run. Below is Ivey’s statement, which was published earlier today.
“I would like to personally thank our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit, Reserve Deputies, Patrol Deputies, COP’s, and Explorers who worked today’s “Toy Run” to benefit kids in need for the Holidays.
The annual event that starts at the Merritt Island Mall and concludes at Wickham Park draws thousands of motorcycle riders to the Space Coast who each bring toys for kids at Christmas time.
As you can imagine, an event of this size takes a very coordinated effort so I would like to also say thank you to the hundreds of volunteers and community supporters that make the event possible each year.”
