BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On Saturday, December 14th, the Central Brevard Humane Society and the Cocoa Beach Pier will be hosting, Whiskers, Waves & Wellness, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the beach at the Pier, located at 401 Meade Avenue in Cocoa Beach.
This event is a family friendly event for pet lovers young and the young at heart that will include rescue groups, vendor village, a dog walk on the beach ($10.00 fee per dog), pet photos with “Santa Paws”, a silent auction, doggie surfing demonstrations and lessons ($5.00 per dog for a 15-minute lesson), a pet psychic and much more.
All animals must be on a leash or in a carrier and have proof of current shots along with a county tag. Donations of pet supplies will be accepted during the event for the homeless animals at the shelter in Cocoa and the “now open” Merritt Island Adoption Center, located at 155 Pioneer Road on Merritt Island.
The cost for businesses to be a part of the vendor village at the event is $50.00. All rescue groups may participate at “no charge” (pending space availability). Proceeds from this event will help to raise awareness and financial support for the “unwanted and abandoned” pets that visit the Humane Society each year, who need a safe and loving “forever” home. For more information, contact the Central Brevard Humane Society at 321-636-3343.
