BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — This is a very exciting year for Brevard Zoo as it celebrates its 20th birthday.

In honor of this major milestone, the Zoo is opening a new exhibit featuring its very own meerkat family.

Please join the Zoo on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oaks 10 Stadium Theater for a special one-time screening of “Meerkat Manor: The Story Begins.”

This feature film narrated by Whoopie Goldberg is the prequel to the Meerkat Manor television series and traces the rise of Flower from a young meerkat pup to the leader of her own pack.

DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED

For a $3 donation, guests will enjoy a wonderful movie and learn about these precocious and entertaining mammals that will soon be part of the Zoo community.

Immediately following the movie, the Zoo invites guests to join them on the private deck for “Cookies, Conversation and Celebration.”

Tickets are limited and can be purchased either online at BrevardZoo.org or at the Zoo’s administrative office. Tickets may also be purchased on movie day starting at 10 a.m., if seats are still available.

Brevard Zoo would like to express its deepest gratitude to the Oaks 10 Stadium Theater for their generosity in helping fund the final phase of the meerkat exhibit by hosting this special screening and donating all ticket sales directly to the exhibit.
