Georgia Highlands Community College defeated the Titans 93-91 in a game the EFSC coach called a “disappointing effort.”

Freshman point guard Jermohn Queen led Eastern Florida with 28 points and sophomore guard Torrance Rowe contributed 17. Demetrius McReynolds added 10, but their efforts were not enough at the Classic held in New Port Richey.

“We didn’t come ready to play today against a good Georgia Highlands team who just got their best player eligible,” said Eastern Florida head coach Jeremy Shulman.

“I’m disappointed with the effort of a number of our guys, but proud of the few who came to play their hearts out, including Jermohn Queen and Julian Adams.”

The Titans are now 12-4 for the 2013-14 season, with conference play opening next week. The win moves Georgia Highlands to 5-6 for the season.
