BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Eastern Florida Titans defeated the host of the Pasco-Hernando Community College Classic 115-71 following a disappointing loss in the opening game of the two-day classic.
Top scorers in the win included sophomore point guard Torrance Rowe with 21 and freshman point guard Jermohn Queen at 18.
It was the second top-notch performance for Queen who was a bright spot with 28 points in the Friday loss to Georgia Highlands.
Eastern Florida freshmen shooting guards Demetrius McReynolds and Camden Scott contributed 15 points a piece in the bounce-back win.
“I’m pleased with the way our guys responded today,” said Titans head coach Jeremy Shulman.
“We came out with a lot of energy right from the opening tip. We played with a lot of emotion and used our principles that we work on daily. We are looking forward to conference season starting Wednesday.”
The win improves Eastern Florida’s record to 13-4.
Eastern Florida’s next home game on the Melbourne Campus will mark the Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference opener against Indian River State College at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.
